Doorbell camera video thumbnail image distorted

Hi everyone,

I have only one camera in the Home app and that’s my ecobee doorbell camera. Because the doorbell is sending through a vertical image, the thumbnail image is distorted. When I tap into the feed, the video is not distorted, and it looks great. When I go back to the Home app home screen, the thumbnail is clear and not distorted. Then it refreshes and becomes distorted again. I didn’t have this issue before, but that’s because I had three cameras (two Logi Circleview cameras and one Logi Circleview doorbell). But now, because I only have one vertical feed coming through, the thumbnail image is distorted.

I know other people have run into this issue as I’ve brought it up on a Reddit thread.

I think this is a bug that Apple needs to address. Please let me know if you’ve found a solution.
