Assigned ringtones not working on my iPhone after iOS 18.2 update

after updating to ios18, all calls and texts ring with the default tone, not the tone I have assigned to many of my contacts.

I’ve had my phone for over ten years and upgraded many times over the years. Now using iPhone 15 pro I purchased last year and this issue just surfaced after updating to ios18.

Tried restarts and just updated to 18.2 without being able to fix this.
