Apple car play not working after last IOS update

My car won’t recognise my phone and phone won’t recognise “my car” after tje last IOS update. If I don’t plug into a charging cord in the car, it sometimes works. As soon as I plug it in, nothing.

I have tried all the suggestions by apple and it’s not doing anything. It worked onve then stopped. It’s like settling has changed but I don’t know what to and hiw to get it back. Very frustrating.
