Why can't I sort my recently played songs in Apple

I've just been forcibly migrated from itunes to Apple Music app on my windows lap top.

Why the loss of basic functions and menu options? For example, if you go to the "recently played" folder, there is no option to sort by, well, date. Kind of important don't you think? When going to that folder to look at files of what has been recently played. To find it can only be grouped by artist etc. By definition it's value is as a folder organised around time data, it's only useful to view if you can order the songs by when they were last played.

Itunes wasn't great, its seems the Music app will be even less useful. Is it too much to ask for sorting by date played??
