Reinstall the macOS:

Nothing would be deleted. It's just that items that have become corrupted or deleted, would be replaced or reinstalled back to where they should be, respectively. Go Here: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support. Important: Be certain to create a backup of your Mac prior to all of this. That way, you can have something to restore from the Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall.

Provide a Photo:

Take a phot of your screen and any errors you get. Block out personal in (i.e. user names and time) by blocking it out through use of the Photos app.

Restore to Factory Settings:

If there is no concern for loss of data, then reset your Mac to factory settings. Perform as instructed here: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

Restore from a Backup:

Did you ever back up your Mac using Time Machine. If so, then restore your Mac to a backup that has this info.
