Pages and Numbers not opening

I have the latest updates both to MacOS, pages and numbers on a 2019 Mac. Having been working fine, I now find that neither will open. When checking both are showing not responding and I have to force quit. Keynote does work and opens as normal. I have removed both and reinstalled. I have restarted the Mac twice, but nothing changes. When trying to open via a file, the file shows a small progress line then freezes. I am at a loss as to how to rectify this issue.

Any help appreciated.

Do not use the term "latest" when asking for help. Use explicit versions of the applications in question and the operating system version. A month from now, your reference to the latest will be out of date and misleading.

Launch a Finder Window, switch to Applications under its Favorites, locate Pages, and press option+cmd+i to open an information panel that shows the version. Click on the Apple () menu and select About This Mac. That will reveal the current operating system version.

At this point, Pages should be v14.2 and the operating system v15.1.1.
