Why am I not allowed to view my Pages document on my iPad?

I have written a document in pages and wanted to save it in my icloud as a pdf and as a pages document. I tapped 'export and send' first, as I have done before to save a document as a pdf in my icloud. Then it said 'this document was deleted in another place - close document'. I didn't want to do this, but I had no other option to go on. So, I tapped 'close document' and the document was deleted. I 'recovered' it. At this point it reappeared, but I 'am not allowed to view it'. My problem is, that I have lost my pages document, as well
