AirPod Pro 2 Hearing Aid Feature, is this still going to be available in the UK?

I’ve just purchased the AirPod pro 2, for the Hearing Aid feature that was advertised as being available from December (also why I upgraded to the iPhone 16 pro). However, I’ve just checked the Apple website and the feature has now disappeared and is said to not be available in the UK. Is there still plans to make the feature available in the UK? Otherwise I’ve bought these AirPods for literally no reason…

This is a community forum and we are just other Apple users. Neither Apple nor the UK have disclosed their plans to us. Sorry.

If I purchase the Airpod Pro 2 now in the UK presumably the hearing aid function can be turned on/made available as soon as they are approved?

I bet it takes a bit longer after it's been approved as Apple have to create a new update so that they work in the UK.

If you have an older iPhone or iPad running and IOS older than 18.1 you can set them up in:

Settings/Accessibility/Audio and Visual/ Headphone Accommodations/Custom Setup
