Changing 3rd part plugin presets in logic pro

I want to change the presets of 3rd party plugins (in this case Arturia's minibrute) in Logic Pro.

This will allow me to go through the presets and record a little of the ones I like. And I won't have to create an entirely new channel with an entirely new instance of the plug in for every preset I like. I can do this easily using Ableton, so I know that it can work.

I've tried using the event list, but while I can set up the change, this doesn't actually seem to send the message to the plugin.

So in this example I want to play the 1st preset from bank 1 in the plugin, then at bar 5 swap to the first preset in bank 2.

So, first, is this actually something I can do in Logic Pro?

Second, if it is, how do I get it to work?
