Songs going over to my IPhone

I have been using ITunes for 12 yrs. When I purchase a new song or set up a Playlist it used to switch to my IPhone. Recently a new song will jump to my IPhone but my new Playlist or songs added to the playlist on my computer don't switch over to my IPhone.

how to sync apple music with itunes? I saved a playlist in Itunes on my laptop and I want to see it on in apple music app on my iphone 12 - how can i do that? it doesnt seem to sync.

Playlist will not sync to my iPhone I created a playlist on my Mac but it will not sync to my iPhone. I subscribe to Apple Music, I am signed in under my Apple ID and I have Sync Library selected under Settings. Please help! TIA
