Yes, with the correct equipment to go between the two..

Seems you would need a video converter to go between the VCR player (editor?) - and the Mac in order to covert the analog video signal to digital input via a USB port.


(By-the-way: If for a few VHS tapes only, there are service-providers who will convert VHS to digital for a fee.)

Seems dvds are on the way out too, (unless for short-term use) as they don't last long enough to preserve memories through the generations. Saving the digital files to the Mac as well as backing the files up (eg: on a portable hard-drive) may be best of all.
