Noise Gate for a Single note in Drum Roll/editor

So I'm getting started writing drums in garage band. I've saw in tutorials that use Ableton, for example, that you can adjust the noise gate for a single sound and then adjust the note length to decide how snappy or not you'd like a particular note.

Is there a way to do this in Garage Band?
