Cannot close external drive's Get Info window

In the last week or so, I am having a new issue that reminds me of a slightly older issue and I think it may be related to one of the updates. I have OS 15.1.1 currently on an older iMac.

My "WDDrive" external drive which is used for Time Machine, its "Get Info" window is open when I boot up in a log in and I cannot close it out with the red X. The only way to get rid of it is to relaunch the Finder, but then when I reboot, it is back up again. I used to have this issue with a specific desktop folder.
