Unable to find additional user account after software update.

From the Terminal.app you can list the known user on your machine copy and paste:

ls -la /Users

Does the other user account still appear in the Users & Groups System Settings?

What happens if after logging into your own user account, you log out. Can you now see your other user account & log into it?

Did you configure this laptop or your employer?
