Homekit and Ikea TRADFRI connection issues lately.

I've got a couple of AppleTV 4K, 1st gen set up as Homekit. Approx 20 light sources and motion sensors in my Ikea TRADFRI. I've had this configuration a couple of years now and all has been well. As stated by earlier threads, Homekit works better than Ikea's own app.

However, recently Homekit loses connection (?) with Ikea's bulbs and sensors. "No response" after a few days. I've reset the Homekit but it only lasts a couple of days, then it's back to square 1. I've done it about three or four times in the last month or so. The Ikea app on the other hand works fine. It never loses connection with my bulbs.

Therefore I can only assume that the issue is caused by my AppleTV's (?)

Is anyone else having trouble with Ikea Tradfri lately ?

I’ve had the same issues as well. I have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions:

  1. Rebooting my router
  2. Rebooting the bridge
  3. I have removed my “home” and added a new one
  4. I’ve deleted and added both apps back.
  5. Restarted my Apple TV
  6. Paused/restarted my VPN
  7. Looked at encryption setting

Nothing works. I’ve had this set up for the better part of 4 years without issue and it no longer works since the latest Apple update.
