Cannot network to my Mac from Windows...

Hi folks,

I can mount either of my two hard drives on my Windows 10 box on my Mac, but I cannot do the reverse on my PC.

When I run Windows' system troubleshooter, it says that it doesn't have permission or something to that effect. Like an idiot, I failed to get the precise error message. I can retrieve it if desired.

When I saw that permissions message, I went to my main Mac hard drive icon and brought up its Info window. It says that "everyone" can only read the disc. Well, my PC cannot even read the disc. I did try turning on those permissions for read/write access, but it rejected me since I, the owner of the flippin' machine, do not have access privileges.

!!!!!

Any thoughts as to what I can do??

System specs...

  • 13" 2020 MBP
  • MacOS 15.1.1 (24B91)

The Windows machine is connected to this Mac through a CalDigit dock's ethernet port.

Thanks.
