Calendar Inaccurately Cancels Events Automatically

I have a Calendar event for a movie showtime that was suggested by Siri and then added to my calendar. Recently, I refunded one the movie tickets for our group and received a refund email which Siri Suggestions interpreted as the entire event being cancelled. Now there is no way to “uncancel” the event. It shows on my calendar with a strikethrough and is greyed out. My only option is in my Calendar Inbox: a Siri Suggestion to delete the event altogether. I can edit aspects of the event but I can no longer set an alert and no matter what the event shows as grey and “canceled.”


Does iOS 18.1.1 really not offer a way to reinstate a Calendar event that’s been auto-cancelled by Siri?
