I forgot the password I set for recovery mode on my MacBook. I set it up when I lived in Brazil for added security. I can still log in and use my MacBook normally, but I can’t erase or format it, for example, to prepare it for a trade-in. When I try to access recovery mode, it asks for the password, but I don’t remember it. Is there a way to reset or bypass this password?

The password for ordinary Recovery is EXACTLY the password you use to login daily. (not to be confused with your Apple-ID password).
