Problems with auto mounting a Synology share on 2024 Mac mini 2024

Since switching from a 2019 27 inch iMac to a 2024 Mac mini M4 both running Mac OS Sequoia, I can no longer automatically log in to Synology shares when I log off the Mac mini or reboot. I see a popup asking for user name and password. The user name is pre-populated with my username and not the name of the server. If I enter the correct name of the server and password, I am able to connect to the share. I am using Automounter. I also tried to just add the share to login items. Interestingly when I attached an external SSD to the Mac mini, the Synology share would auto mount successfully when I sign in to the computer after logging out or rebooting.
