Can't find/delete stock widget

I just got my brand new Mac mini M4 from direct from Apple. Once I got it set up I get a pop up asking to StockWidget to do something. I click no, it pops up a few seconds later, then a few minutes later...

I don't want to monitor stocks, and I don't want to see this pop up all the time, It's annoying.

  1. Could my new mac be a return where someone else had installed this widget?
  2. How do I delete it?

Thanks.

Mac mini, macOS 15.0

That sounds about right

Whether the user ( you ) use the Builtin Application or not, it will always be located in the Applications folder

Any Application that comes installed as part of the Operating System ( Sequoia ) can not be deleted >> full stop

The Operating System resides in a Sealed and Read Only Volume that cannot be opened by the User nor by Third Party Applications.

If you feel that any Builtin In Application is unsafe or should not included in macOS Sequoia

Suggest you contact Apple Directly and request that Apple Re-write the Entire Operating System, only this time to leave out the Stock application

Update:

So I did find the Stocks app in Applications. I tried to delete it - drag it to the trash can - but wouldn't delete. Tried the context menu but no delete option.

I'm thinking that even though I didn't open the app it's still collecting data behind the scenes??

I successfully opened the app, then closed it, but the pop up still pops up.
