how do you friend someone you're playing with in chess gamecenter created game
Can you only invite your friends in the contact list or could you add someone you're playing against in a game created through the chess app ?

My guess is you go to System Settings, click on Game Center from sidebar, click on 'Invite Friends...', click on 'Invite Friends via Messages' (this will open Messages), fill in the 'To:' at the top (you can also add Contacts via the top right), add a nice message at the bottom then send.
Have not done this before so it may not work.
