After updating iOS to 18.1.1, the mail app is not working. It is totally malfunction and can’t receive nor send email. Start the mail app, it just pops up a white screen. I have tried to offload the app and reinstall it. It’s the same. When I hard reset the phone, it can pop up the mail account list but freezes. How do I fix it?

I am having the exact same issue! My only work around is to restart my device. This seems to allow mail download to occur.

I have the same problem but it is when it is on low battery mode, when low battery is switched off it works fibe
You should read the reviews about installing third party apps like Edison before installing them
I’m having the same problem with gmail (all my emails disappeared?) and aol (almost all prior to 2019 are gone).
all of my settings are the same as before updating to 18.1.1
login to the desktop version of gmail if you have access to your current password (look it up in the new password app)

This routine doe not work. Have to delete Gmail acct and reload it. Seems to be the only way to fix it.
I put the slash in and it removes my error message. Great advise!
since you seem to be the expert, please explain why all of my mail prior from 2019-12/24 disappeared from both AOL and Gmail.

After the 18.2.1 update, mine appears to be working fine
Switch to Microsoft Outlook. It works fine.
My iPad Pro ,will not download any emails in WiFi,I’ve done all things to get to work,all it does is sit there and show 20 emails downloading and it doesn’t since the 18.2.1 update
Updated to 18.3. Removed VPN app. Still no mail. I have 5 accounts, from different providers, and none of them work at all.
