I'm trying to connect an external microphone to my mac, and it will not work.

My microphone is audio technica AT2020 USB+, which does NOT require any drivers. The tutorial videos show that if you connect the microphone to the device, it will automatically work. I tried connecting the mic to my phone, and it worked well.

But this won't connect to my mac. I am using MacBook air M1 2020, and the OS is Sequioa 15.1.1., and the problem was the same using the previous OS.

The problem is: the mic is getting power. The LED light on the microphone turns on when it is connected to my mac. However, it does not appear on the input device list.

I've tried restarting my mac, entering to the safe mode, and allowing accessories to connect automatically when unlocked, but non of those methods worked. I have no idea of what I could do from here.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.1
