AirPods Pro 2 beeps when out of iPhone range

I would really love to know how to turn this “feature” off. Whenever my earbuds are in and I leave the room where my iPhone is located (heaven forbid) I hear regular chimes that frankly are annoying as ****. This especially since I am trying the new earbuds out as “hearing aids”. Well Apple.. if you really want to be taken seriously in this arena you’ll allow users an *easy path* to disable this chime. I really have no intention of carrying my iPhone everywhere I go. I simply want to hear better. Is this too much to ask?!
