Apple Music Search Algorithm Ignores Classic Rock and Oldies
I can't even believe this Boomer wrote a descriptive title using those two words! LOL. But this is a huge issue with me. I am 68 years old, a music lover/fanatic since the mid-1960s when I was just coming of age. Great music period in the 1960s and 1970s and onward.
And I LOVE my Apple Music. But I have had issue with this for a few years now. The algorithm in the Search bar SUCKS!!! Place a word in the field of songs you just KNOW should show up -- but instead of classic rock or oldies of any sort -- the ONLY songs listed are unrecognizable current songs. What a freaking drag and a half.
I am certain my generation continues to be music lovers, we are probably a large cross-section paying for these subscriptions -- but the "algorithm" clearly is locking out songs that are more than several years old. The Search mechanism really, seriously stinks.
Hard to believe in this age of information/stats that Apple cannot include songs older than most recent candidates. It's just sad and frustrating. And NO, I am not being a Karen!! LOL.
I just love my music too and wish Apple would not consider it irrelevant!!
Apple, I still want to hold your hand, but you are making our relationship very complicated. FIX THIS!!! Please?
