Reset Mac Pro and getting failed to activate device

After erasing all disks and reinstalling macOS I am now getting the error failed to activate device. I ensured that it has internet access hardwired over ethernet and also over wifi. Anyone know if there is a way to confirm if it is on Apple's end?

A Mac Pro, Apple's big desktop system (which is the system this forum is for)? Or a MacBook Pro? Model and version of macOS you're trying to install?

In any case, failure to activate a device often is an indication of a firewall, VPN or other security system blocking the connection, or some other problem with the Internet connection. Without details about your setup and network, it's pretty much impossible to offer specific advice, but that's the place I'd start.

Regards.
