Logitech keyboard spacebar unresponsive with Mac mini M4
When I am typing text and hit the space bar in certain apps I started running into problems after about a half day of using my new Mac Mini M4.
When typing text into chat in Second Life for example, hitting the space bar has no effect but a border like artifact will appear that has no relation to anything on the screen in Second Life but will exactly fit a section of a window from the previous app I was using, like a border line around the bookmark side-window in safari or the menu bar of Path Finder.
In the Finder, when you select a file and try to get a Quick Look preview of the file by hitting the space bar you instead get a border highlighting either the entire section of the window where the file icon is located or a border highlighting the column in which the file icon sits, depending on viewing preferences.
In Photoshop when using the text tool the text will not advance when you hit the space bar after one word and before the next word without first having to change tools and then return to the text layer, after which you can begin typing normally - using spaces between words.
Even in the text window here in this forum I initially could not type using the space bar.
This is a hard problem to describe but it started soon after I configured some System settings in the Accessibility section of System Settings. I also started using a new keyboard from Logitech but didn't immediately encounter this problem after plugging it in. I have tried re-starting with no open applications and turned off any running background processes, like Keyboard Maestro, and returned all settings in the Settings > Accessibility to their defaults but the problem persists.
I know this is being caused by some background process resulting from some errant setting I made while settling in with the M4 - I just don't know where to look at this point.
