What is Background Item: Ping LV?

I've seen this thing pretty much since I've became a Mac user and I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be because of my XP pen... There's a background item title Ping LV that I do not know anything about I don't know what it's for. I'm hoping it could help me with my thumbnail issue within the OS but I doubt that. I google this Ping LV and it availed to nothing which troubled me even more. Attached is a screenshot, can anybody give me anything about this?

Avoid any of those other "antivirus" solutions such as Norton. Those cause more problems than they fix. Malwarebytes will be all you need, if this is indeed some sort of adware or other undesired item.

The only "Ping LV" I can find is a speedtest website apparently based in Latvia or perhaps (the search results are uncertain) the developer of various iLove apps:

If you have any of those apps installed, this may be a base component of one of those.

If not, I'd recommend downloading and running Malwarebytes (free) and see what if anything it turns up.
