HomePod stuck in configuring. cant change wifi network

my HomePod mini and HomePod are both stuck in configuring and both cant change wifi network. I dont have advanced data protection on.i have plugged it in to my Mac mini and done a reset, twice. there is no it simply works to this gadget and totally regret buying it. If anyone has some pointers it would be highly appreciated.
