Hiding imported photos in iOS 18 redesigned iPhone Photos app
In iOS 18 redesigned iPhone Photos app (within the “Show” option in “View Options”) please allow users to HIDE photos which were IMPORTED from PC/Mac.
I do not understand why the iPhone Photo Library needs to show photos that were imported from my PC/Mac (I so much miss the old Camera Roll).
Imagine the following situation:
1) I take photos using not only an iPhone but also a digital camera.
2) On my PC/Mac I create a photo album where I put and organize all these photos (i.e. photos taken with iPhone as well as photos taken with digital camera).
3) I then import this photo album to my iPhone.
4) iPhone Photos app shows the imported photo album in “From My Mac” section, which is exactly what I want.
5) The PROBLEM is that, unfortunatelly, iPhone also adds all these imported photos to iPhone Photo Library (without an option to change this).
6) Because of this behaviour (mentioned under point 5), the iPhone Photo Library becomes unorganized/chaotic and makes it complicated searching through all the photos in iPhone Photo Library.
Would it be possible to add an option (Filter) allowing iPhone users to HIDE IMPORTED PHOTOS in the iPhone Photo Library?
Thank you for taking this option into consideration when preparing a new software update.
