Apparently the NEC 2690 monitor des not play well with the Mac Mini, I can't get any signal to show up on monitor using a usb-c to DVI cable. Any other's out there trying to use an older but good NEC monitor on Mac Mini?

That's a 26", 1920x1200 pixel monitor with DVI-D, DVI-I,and mini D-sub (VGA) inputs. So the resolution should be within the capabilities of a single-link DVI adapter.
That’s honestly why when I was doing my research and discovered the chipset to be primal to the system as it’s structured. So as per my thinking coupling all Macs within its ecosystem as currently structured is mandatory. I bought the Studio Display BEFORE I bought my mini 🥳
Test a USB-C to DVI adapter and DVI cable.
Or maybe an HDMI to DVI adapter and DVI cable.
