Is there a way to turn off auto center in Keynote on iPad?

An organization I volunteer with provided a template with icons beside the slides in Keynote. I need to access the icons and place whichever ones we’re using that day on to the slide. This works fine on my laptop but on the iPad Keynote auto centers the workspace making it impossible to access all the icons. Is there a way to turn off the auto-centering?
