Safari Goes Dead. URL Adress Window Goes Blank. Scroll Bars Disappear.

Safari 17.6 in Monterey 12.7.6 on 2017 13-inch MacBook Air.

Safari does more than become unresponsive. The URL address window becomes inoperative, the current URL disappears, the scroll bars disappear, and nothing works. I can't say for sure that any action in particular always precedes this. Maybe going back to the previous page. The only fix is quitting the app and relaunching.

Also, scroll bars sometime disappear without the whole program going dead. When that happens, refreshing the current page brings them back.

Also, Safari has a lot of trouble with Facebook. Won't go into that now.
