Safari Keeps Freezing

Safari keeps freezing in the middle of browsing. I've especially noticed this when I'm at the top of a page and try to scroll to the bottom or vice versa. Sometimes the time the page goes blank and I have to close & relaunch Safari. Once I restart, it usually works fine until the next day. Other times, the page loads but none of the links work. Again, a relaunch usually solves the problem.
