My MacBook Air M2 Keyboard doesn't work when I am watching YouTube on safari not the whole keyboard but the forward backward function and the start/stop from spacebar, basically the YouTube video playing functions and I recently purchased the MBA?

If the only place it happens is one site on Safari, it has to be software or a site issue. Try using Firefox or Chrome instead of Safari.
It doesn't sound like something you can fix. Best just use another browser in the meantime.
Mac OS is sequoia 15.1 and safari is of version 18.1
and the problem is on I guess its on most of the educational videos I don't know why but yeah its on some videos and now its not happening too often like how it was used to its better now but yes it happens

what could be the problem? I went to the shop from where I bought the MBA they said it could be a software issue
yes the issue is only on safari so should I go to service centre to solve this or is there something I can do by myself
What version of MacOS and of Safari are you using?
Do you have the problem with all youtube videos or just some?
