I produce a series of podcasts, which are hosted on Spotify podcasts (previously Anchor.fm) and have been distributed to Apple Podcasts for the past 7 years.
Recently, it has come to my attention from listeners and users, that my episodes are not updating in the Apple podcast app. When I open Apple Podcast Connect, I see all of my episodes are there and loaded, but not in the Apple Podcast App.
Is this a glitch with the app? How do we fix this?
The latest five episodes, of which the most recent is 'Chris Temple...', appear in the feed, the preview page linked to above, and in the Podcasts app on a Mac. As far as all that is concerned there isn't a problem.
I can't check on an iPhone, not having one, but as that access the same online database I would expect it to be the same. However if your problem is with an iPhone perhaps someone else can check that.

One point, however, is that your feed is set to automatically download when accessed: this is asking for trouble, though I wouldn't expect it to affect individual episodes, more likely the entire feed. There may be a setting in Spotify to stop this.
there is something broken in the apple podcast app, both on ios and osx.
I am following 10 shows on both with automatic downloads on the latest three. everyone 2-3 week if I have not open the app, then it stops downloading them.
I have unsubscribed, subscribed, deleted and so on nothing helps.
If you post the URLs of both your Apple Podcasts page and your feed (not your Spotify page) I will have a look and see whether any issue presents itself.
