Never.

The iPhone X tops out at iOS 16. It does not have the processing power to run iOS 17.

iOS 16 — currently iOS 16.7.10 — is the end of the line for iPhone X.

iOS 17 and iOS 18 require iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone SE 2nd gen, or newer.
