Headphone icon in status bar Suddenly

I’m not sure why I have a headphones symbol next to my Bluetooth and battery icons in the upper right corner of my iPhone 8. I have no headphones of any kind and there’s no way to plug headphones into this iPhone anyway because there’s no iPhone headphone jack to plug it into. If I remember correctly, they did away with that after the iPhone 6s because I know my son used to have that phone before he just got the new iPhone 16 Pro and his iPhone 6s had the jack in it for plugging headphones in. I just want to know why it’s there all of a sudden for just the past day or two. Do I have to do something to get rid of it or is it supposed to be there and if so, why. I do believe that it’s tied into Alexa though.
