Destination Icon for Airdrop is invisible

When sharing files from Mac Mini (M1 2020, Sequoia 15.0.1) via AirDrop, I initially did not see any of my devices listed. I thought it was an issue with sharing permissions so verified all devices were set to be discoverable. It turns out that my iPad (iPad Pro 11" 18.0.1) is actually invisible - by chance I clicked the empty space and it successfully sent to my iPad (see screen shot) I have a profile picture associated w/ my iPad apple ID. Any thoughts about how I can get it to show up or what the issue is?

The issue is not the inability to find the files, it's that the destination icon does not appear as a possible destination (screen shot shows no icon but the "Sent" in blue indicates that I was able to send the file).


The direction of file movement is from Mac to iPad , I import them into Notability . Sending from iPad via AirDrop to Mac , my Mac's icon shows up, they goto my Downloads folder w/o issue.
