Safari suddenly closing all tabs, set to close manually

iPad Air m2 iOS 18. Suddenly today when I swipe Safari up when I reopen it all my tabs are gone. I do have set to do manually in systems. I searched online to see how to fix only answer is to set to manual cower which again is set that way.

Before today whenever I reopened safari all my tabs would be there. I try to restore them all at once didn’t work had to go through history to get them. Also today safari & my apps are no longer opening in full screen I’m sorry I know fr most it’s easy to enlarge them but I struggle. Is there a way to set so always open full screen?

since I’m here & on a roll this volume button is making crazy, seriously driving me nuts. This dynamic volume is new to me sorry again but to me it doesn’t make sense. Went searching for how to turn it off only to find there use yo be a way but Apple removed it. For the love of god why Apple? I maybe an old lady but I’m not new to iPads. In 2018 purchased a new iPad Pro & being retired I used it 8 hrs day everyday until it died 2 months ago I miss it terribly. I got this air right after iOS 18 came out & it’s driving me nuts honestly I’m ready to return it.
