I just updated my iPhone to iOS 18.1 and cannot see the hearing aid/hearing test features. My AirPods are up to date 7B19
I'm in the UK if that makes any difference.
I've just noticed that the feature is not available in the UK. It's just about the only country where it's not available

I spoke to Apple support yesterday
I was told Apple doesn’t have the approval for UK yet that why it hasn’t be issued in UK.
As soon as they got the approval it will be released for UK too with the next update.

iPhone 6s.it won't even recognise the Airbuds. Bluetooth says "Connected".......and that's about it......no sign of them in "Settings", Mimi works Ok so Hearing test results is stored in "Health".....but that's about it........unless I'm doing something wrong..........If it only works with iOS 17........then I doubt if I'll find a phone that hasn't been updated to 18.......we'll have to wait on Apple......
The iPhone 6S goes back to 2014/2015 so it was never going to work... An iPhone 12 will definitely work.

I also read that since may 24 uk mhra were to “piggy back” on approvals from overseas authorities. Bizarre in this instance. What’s also strange is the whole of the eu seems to have approval and Northern Ireland is supposed to follow eu rules in this instance. Just stating a uk gov website not an invitation to start a discussion on the “B” word.
Those features are not allowed in Canada yet. Look up “Hearing Health Feature Availability“ on the Apple support site.
In settinge I can see a list of items including my Firestick.....but no Airbuds. See photo

It is in 18.2 here: AirPods (in settings) > Accessibility > Iphone Audio and Visual Settings > Headphone Accommodations >

Yes AirPods Pro 2 purchased specifically for the hearing aid function. iPhone 15. Everything cycled off and on and still no test/aid feature.
I also checked all firmware updates and have latest IOS And have none of the new features, in US
No Canada on that list. Grrr. When I upgraded to airpods 2 pro, apple’s information indicated Canada would be included.
I restarted my phone, still no feature. Where should i look other than in the airpods info?
And me! Wasn’t made very clear that it wasn’t available in the UK! ☹️

You can still set them up as hearing aids by using an Apple device that is running 17.7.1 or lower. Maybe an iPad or older iPhone. You don't get ALL the benefits of 18.1 but they work and work well.
