It seems as though my desktop folder is an alias called Dropbox (personal). Should I be concerned about this?
Both my desktop and my macbook have this issue.

If you installed Dropbox it's likely normal.

Having a Dropbox folder is completely normal once you've installed the Dropbox app, though that folder and your actual Desktop folder are completely separate, at least unless something highly unusual has happened.
