Apple water and Dexcom g7 connectivity still a major problem

I own the Apple iPhone 11 Pro and use the Dexcom g7. Recently bought the Apple Watch 10 SE purely to read my sensor. It was advertised as though you could leave your phone at home and use your watch to read your sensor. This definitely does not work. In fact, the watch will not work in different areas of the home unless it is very close to the iPhone. Have tried everything to get this to work. Next option is to return the watch. Any updates on this issue?

Have you set up Direct to Watch mode? If you have and it's still not working as expected, then unless other apps on your Watch also are having problems connecting, it's probably something you need to take up with Dexcom support.

BTW, the Apple Watch 10 and the Apple Watch SE are two completely different models. If you have an Apple Watch 10, Dexcom does not yet list that as a compatible model, so it may well be that an update to their app and/or firmware is needed, though they may just be behind in updating their web page.

Regards.
