File on my external hard drive won’t open when clicking on it

I cannot access one of the files on my external hard drive on my Macbook Air.

It shows on the drive but it’s “faded out”, and no matter how I try to open it, I am not able to. The sharing & permissions is set to ‘You can read and write’.

I have a macbook Air, and a WD Elements hard drive.
