Trying to get Appl eCare cover on my Macbook Air and payment says something went wrong every time.

Through the settings or through the website I am trying to add 3 years Apple Care coverage but I get the same message when it comes to payment "something went wrong". This is a brand new macBook Air M3 purchased by my employer and neither myself or they cannot add apple care using company cards and address or my personal card and address. Not sure how Apple Care can be added.
