MS Word crashing after changing permission settings.

Greetings, in one of my colleague's MacBook Pro I changed user permissions as she could not open Adobe Audition.

Initially when opening Audition, an error was shown saying the user does not have rights to create folder so I changed the permissions and Audition worked fine.

But all MS Office tools started crashing after that. I am able to open and edit documents and everything, but when I save or close the application, it crashes and MacBook hangs.

Anyone here knows what the issue is or have encountered similar problems before?
