iPhone 14 doesn’t recognize MagSafe wallet

My iPhone 14 doesn’t recognize MagSafe wallet if it’s already attached when I start the phone. It says something like “Is it your wallet?“. The phone vibrates when I detach it but it doesn’t animate the MagSafe connection when attached. If I forget/delete the wallet and reconnect, it works again. If I start the phone without the wallet attached it works fine when attached after the phone has started. Any thoughts?
