Mac Studio and multiple users and applications

I have a Mac Studio. I want to teach my dad how to use a Mac and iPad. Is it possible to set him up with a seperate login on my Mac Studio, with a separate Apple ID? If this is possible will he have access to the same applications, such as Books and will he be able to maintain a separate library of books from what I have in my Book app? Same basic question with use of a browser and favorites?
