I have a logic project on another computer (imac). I didn't know you had to compress a logic project to send it over and instead uploaded the unchanged logic project file (directly dragged from desktop) onto email. Now I am unable to reach the imac for months and need to work on the project but the file sent from the imac does not open on my macbook pro. Is there something I can do to open it?

Yes, the Logic project file is a "container" which is a specialized type of macOS folder, that contains lots of stuff inside. It should be zipped if sent via email (if there's no audio files in it). I'd have used AirDrop to move the whole project over, not email. Or copy it to a thumb drive.

So when you say it won't open, exactly what happens? Do you get an error message? Also, most important, does this MBP have the same macOS and Logic versions that the iMac had? They have to match. And you have to have the same third party plugins installed on both.
