I have a 9 year old iMac that is running slow, freezes often and sometimes shuts down on its own. Attached is the EtreCheck Report that I ran. It has 2 TB of memory but only 283 GB available. I just used Time Machine and it took 18 hours to run the backup. It is running Monterey 12.7.6 Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

See if you have 50GB of files you can move or delete.

Apple hid the Users' Library folders...
Method 1:
1 From the Finder, select the Go menu at top of the screen, and choose Go to Folder.
2 In the window that opens, enter ~/Library, and click Go.

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked for the files to delete but was unable to find any of them. The trash is empty. I will try to put more files onto my external drive. Still waiting for Drive DX to finish uploading.
